PETS NEED DENTAL CARE TOO
85% of dogs and cats over one year old have some degree of periodontal disease.
Plaque and tartar (which accumulate 5 times faster in dogs than in humans) continue to build up unless mechanically removed and will lead to gum inflammation and tooth loss. Infected gums and abscessed teeth are also sources of potential infection to the kidneys, liver and heart. Have your pet's vet do an oral exam to see if it is time to clean his/her teeth. A good oral health regimen consists of yearly dental cleaning and routine care at home.
