The College of Veterinary Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences
We are an Affiliate Hospital of the Western University College of Veterinary Medicine in Pomona. Our veterinarians serve as Clinical Preceptors to Third Year Veterinary Students from the college. During their 2-week rotations with us, the veterinary students work alongside our veterinarians and obtain valuable experience in a clinical setting. During your visit with us you might meet one of our Western University Students as they observe and consult on real cases.
Field Trips
We offer Hospital Tours (field trips) for our local schools to provide children with exposure to our professional environment. It is not uncommon to encounter a large group of elementary school children here on a field trip!
American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) Accreditation
Foothill Veterinary Hospital has been an accredited member of the American Animal Hospital Association since 1953. Such accreditation and membership is voluntary (only 15% of veterinary hospitals in the U.S. are accredited by the AAHA). Each AAHA member hospital and staff must submit to regular evaluations by the association in order to establish and maintain their accreditation status. The evaluation includes a quality assessment review of the hospital’s facility, medical equipment, practice methods and pet health care management by the association’s consultants. We are proud to be members of the AAHA because the association holds very high standards of excellence for all its accredited members!
